Blue Pottery

Blue Pottery is a famous handicraft of Jaipur city of Rajasthan. It is a traditional craft. It is believed to be of Central Asian origin. The art of blue pottery originated in Turkey. This art came to India in the 15th century through the Turkic invasion. Later, the Afghans started using blue enamel in this art. The Mughals made this art popular in India. Blue pottery developed in Jaipur and is a major craft of Rajasthan. This art originated in Turkey. This art came to India in the 15th century through the Turkic invasion. The Afghans started using blue enamel in this art. The Mughals made this art popular in India. This art developed in Jaipur. Jaipur Blue Pottery has got GI status in India. It is not an object made of clay. It uses ground glass, quartz powder, earth fuller, borax, glue, soda bicarbonate and water. These utensils are baked at low temperature. These utensils are highly shiny.

These utensils do not crack. Blue and green colours are used in blue pottery. The blue dye is so attractive that the pottery shines brightly as soon as it is applied. The technique of blue pottery is Turko-Persian in origin. The Persian art of blue pottery came to Jaipur from Persia and Afghanistan through the Mughal courts. The exquisite technique of blue pottery reached eastern India with the Turkish conquests in the 14th century and later flourished under Mughal patronage. The term blue pottery refers to the extensive use of cobalt blue dye to give the objects an attractive colour.

Objective of the Programme:- The aim of the workshop is to experiment and develop new products as per the needs and preferences of the contemporary market by utilizing the traditional skills of the artisans and introducing new techniques and technologies for improved production. The artisans of handicrafts should be able to experiment boldly in design. For this purpose it is necessary to provide a framework and process which gives the necessary freedom to the designer.

Another main purpose of using packaging is to exaggerate the product. A marketer needs to grab the attention of a viewer to buy the product. Packaging should be able to beautify a product to add to its visual appeal. The purpose of product packaging is to protect the product from damage. Product packaging not only protects the product during transit from the manufacturer to the retailer, but it also prevents damage. With each passing day the packaging material is becoming less and less. Apart from the traditional paper-plastic, glass, metal packaging, people have started to explore the use of new raw materials

It can instantly attract the attention of the audience towards a product. You can create interest in the customer's mind towards a product through attractively designed packaging.
