The local girls of Vikas Khand Jagir greeted the guests with their colourful cultural programmes. The programmes presented by the girls captivated everyone. All the guests present praised the programme highly.
District Magistrate Vijay Kiran Anand said in the awareness program that everyone will have to take a pledge to stop female foeticide. Strict action will be taken against those who do such work. This practice has to be completely destroyed. We all have to think to stop the declining sex ratio. Through women's groups, women can form groups in their villages for goat rearing, poultry farming, buffalo rearing, chicken etc. and can earn their income and join the mainstream of development. He said that women society will have to think. Everyone should come forward to educate their daughters. He said that the state government has run many schemes in the field of women empowerment. To ensure that the poor girls of the state do not face lack of money for higher education, ambitious schemes like Kanya Vidyadhan, Padhe Betiyan, Badhe Betiyan have been run. By getting the benefit of this, now your daughter can also get higher education and become like Kalpana Chawla and play an important role in the development of the country. He said that women will come forward and play an important role in making the country prosperous and while appealing to the women present, he said that if any woman is deprived of her rights or is harassed by any person, then immediately bring it to the notice of the Women Commission. The Commission will ensure that women get their rights. The District Magistrate praised this type of program in the district and thanked her. He said that the pride of the district, member of the Women's Commission Archana Rathore praised this type of program and thanked her. He said that the initiative taken by the State Women's Commission to organize such programs for women empowerment, through 'Pahal the Beginning', is exemplary.
After this, Mrs. Archana Singh Rathore thanked Zarina Usmani, President of Uttar Pradesh State Women Commission and said that many more works can be done through the State Women Commission, which she gave in detail. Thereafter, Archana Rathore gave information about cottage and small scale industries related to rural areas. How women living in rural areas can benefit through these industries. And how development is possible through industries, she provided detailed information about this. In these cottage industries, one can reach economic stability by starting industries like papad, pickle making, badiya making, carpet weaving, mat weaving, spice grinding mill, milk dairy etc. Women of rural areas can make good use of their free time by finishing household chores, this will also lead to their development and they will also be able to contribute to household expenses from the income received as earnings. People living in rural areas can take advantage of small scale industries like making incense sticks, candles, dona-plates, thermocol glasses etc. and can make it a means of their livelihood. The government also provides financial help for setting up these industries. After taking detailed information from the village head, one can set up his own industry by taking money in the form of loan from government banks along with the required documents. From the income from the industries, monthly installments are made with low interest, which the beneficiary can repay easily.
Former District Panchayat President Dr. Suman Yadav made people aware of various beneficial schemes of the District Panchayat. Detailed information was given about the District Panchayat. District Panchayat or District Council is an elected institution. The Presidents of Block Committees and Block Pramukhs represent the District Panchayat. Members of the District Panchayat are elected from the district on the basis of adult suffrage for a period of 5 years. At least 50 and maximum 75 seats in the District Panchayat are reserved for members, which include Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and Women. The functions of the District Panchayat were also explained in detail, which are as follows.- Running schools in villages, implementing programs for adult literacy and providing libraries. Encouraging entrepreneurs to start small industries. Providing production for implementing rural employment schemes like cottage industries, handicrafts, agricultural processing, mills, dairy farms etc. Providing employment for the poor sections of society (tribal, lower caste, scheduled caste). Former District Panchayat President Dr. Suman Yadav praised such programs in the district and thanked the pride of the district, member of the Women's Commission Archana Rathore. And said that by seeing member of the Women's Commission Archana Rathore, the coming generation gets strength and gets a chance to learn. He said that the initiative taken by the State Women's Commission to organize such programs for women's empowerment should continue in the future as well and we will keep making efforts for this.
After this, General Manager Udyog Kendra Sudhir Yadav, Social Welfare and Disabled Welfare Officer Tapasvi Lal, and BSA Veerpal Singh, Employment Officer, Sainik Welfare Officer provided information about various beneficial schemes by the state government. They told that many beneficial schemes are being run by the government. Like- National Health Insurance Scheme, Swarn Jayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana- This scheme was discussed in detail. The Government of India started this scheme in April 1999 as an integrated program to provide permanent income to the poor people living in the rural areas of the country. Through this, villagers are setting up self-help groups on the basis of activities. For this, NGOs, banks and government organizations provide financial assistance from financial institutions. This scheme focuses on the weaker sections of the society. Accordingly, 50 percent of women of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and 40 percent physically handicapped have benefited from this scheme.
At the conclusion of the three-day workshop, Honorable State Women Commission member Archana Rathore thanked Bhuvanesh Singh Chauhan, Ram Prakash Maurya, Dinesh Kumar, Dhamendra Kumar, Shishram District Scout Master, Rampal Giri, Rakesh Kumar District PTI, Poonam Gupta Women Guide Teacher, Chunni Devi District PTI, Rita Chauhan, Manju Chauhan, Jyoti, Priyanka, Guddu Chauhan, Rakesh Kumar, and the organization's president Manoj Anand, Amit Singh, Mohd.
